Is this a gym? Do you have workout machines?
No - this ain't your grandmother's YMCA. Kettlebell training turns traditional (read: boring) workout methodology on its ear. At the gym, you spend your time focused on one muscle group at a time. There are workouts for your arms, legs and back, then you have to hit the treadmill or the eliptical for cardio. Not only does isolating your workout take more time, it ignores the fact that in the real world, we rarely use our muscles one group at a time. Real world strength involves momentum, balance, stability, and coordination. This is the real advantage to kettlebell training - 15 minutes is as effective as an hour at the gym. The multi-joint movements of kettlebell training burn more calories in less time and combine cardio and strength training into one! Talk about effective! Still not convinced? How often should I train with kettlebells?
You can achive measurable results by training with kettlebells as little as two times a week. Many students step up to three or four times a week once they get comfortable with their kettlebell routines. This gives them the freedom to try out new classes, as well as improve their results. It's all matter of how quickly you want to see results and how much time you have to devote to training. Like anything else, the more energy you put into kettlebell training, the more you'll get out of it.

Do I need to purchase a kettlebell?
No. Kettlebells will be provided during all classes. Kettlebells are available for purchase if you wish to train outside of class time.

Sign up for the Essentials class. This class is designed as a one-time introduction to kettlebell training. No prior workout experience is necessary and kettlebell training is as fun as it is effective!

What is the Functional Motion Screen?
The Functional Motion Screen what allows your instructor to custom tailor a workout to you. A certified instructor takes you through several diagnostic tests designed to measure your strength and flexibility in all areas of your body. Based on the results of your screening and your personal fitness goals, your instructor can increase the effectivness of each of your workouts!

What is the Russian Kettlebell Challenge ?
A Russian Kettlebell Challenge certified instructor has proven that they know how to do kettlebells right! The RKC certification is granted only after instructors pass a physically and mentally gruling multi-day test administered by the man who brought Kettlebells to America - Pavel Tsatsouline.
